Title:The Soviet Summer
Idea:A collection inspired by soviet symbols and James Bond films.

Thoughts: Thank god it's done. I drew most of this out in May and because of work, and my newfound addiction to reading and The Office, I just let it sit. In fact, this project has been the height of my procrastination and laziness, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

The original idea was to work on it all summer and make it something like a 40 piece collection, but laziness stopped that, but it could be a good thing. I think this collection is better as a bit of a smaller collection because you can only take the idea so far (though I still think I can get maybe 5 or 10 more pieces out of it, something I may experiment with.)

Is this a strong collection? Honestly, I don't think so, but then again, I don't feel that it's weak. A decent collection, and seeing as this is the first collection I've ever been able to commit towards completion, I'm okay with that. I think it's a decent first collection. My god, I can't believe that I've been designing since March 2006 and this is my first collection. It just feels so bizarre that it took so long to finally do one.

Perhaps with this first collection complete, some of my procrastinazy (procrastination meets lazy) demons will leave and I can finally give myself deadlines that I can fulfill.
